I love both of my appliqué mushroom banners, but I must say this one is my fave! The French knots on the red mushroom cap are adorable, and the velvet texture of the bright blue banner is just exquisite. My banners are now happily hanging in our condo hallway! Beach combing is part of the Bay life. There is so much to find by the ocean.
Iceberg season means spring is here. The shapes and colours of the ocean and sky are so inspiring.
We have never been happier since we moved to rural Newfoundland.

Inspired by Bonavista, Newfoundland

I was born and raised in Mississauga, Ontario and moved to beautiful Bonavista, Newfoundland with my partner in the spring of 2019.
We can see the ocean from almost all the windows in our little house, where I make my pieces, inspired by the beauty around us.
Back in the city, I was a graphic designer and photographer, and always making something, so when I moved to rural Newfoundland, I took the opportunity to do all the creative things I never had time to do before. I love traditional craft practices, vintage materials and salvaged materials.
Cape Shore General Store was born!

Among my quilt banners, sea glass hanging, jewelry, weaving, sewing, printmaking and photography, I hope you find a little piece of the Bay to have in your home.
